UI Org Chart Updates Guide
This guide explains the latest updates to the card interface, including field segregation, employee assignment, editing, manager updates, and icon usage.

1. Field Segregation: Employee vs. Position
Cards now clearly distinguish between employee-related and position-related fields:
Employee-related fields → highlighted in white.
Position-related fields → highlighted in gray within the form.
This distinction helps users quickly identify and update the correct information.

2. Adding an Employee to a Position
To assign an employee to a position:
Click the “+” icon to add a new position.
Use the paperclip "
" icon to shortlist or attach a specific employee to that position.
Once assigned, a green icon will appear on the card, confirming that you successfully added the entry.

3. Editing Fields
Both employee and position details can be edited directly within the card:
Employee fields remain in white.
Position fields may appear in different color shades, depending on the filter applied under the highlighting feature.
Any updates are applied dynamically and reflected instantly on the card.

4. Manager Updates
Manager relationships can be updated using drag-and-drop functionality. For example: moving a role from CEO to Junior VP of HR.
When a manager update is made, an update icon appears on the card to indicate the change.

5. Closing (RIF/Exit) or Reopening a Position
When a position is closed (RIF/Exit), the icon updates automatically to reflect this status. To reopen the position (Undo RIF/Exit), simply click the same icon again.

6. Summary of Icons
Green icon → Card added by you.
Update icon → Field change (e.g., manager update).
Closed position icon → Position marked as closed (can be reopened).
Tip: Use the icons and color highlights as quick visual cues to manage employee and position data efficiently.
