Overview

Duplication settings let you control which attributes are carried over when duplicating or adding roles in scenarios. This is especially useful when planning future org structures, where you may want to repeat role details like job title or department - without copying over individual-specific data such as gender, Employee ID, or performance. By standardizing what gets duplicated and what doesn’t, you keep your scenarios clean, consistent, and focused on structure rather than people.

Setting Up Field Duplication Rules

  1. Navigate to Auto - Duplication You will find this within Settings → Fields.

  2. Choose Duplication Behavior Decide whether a field should persist across duplicated roles, helping maintain consistency without duplicating sensitive or irrelevant data.

    • Be copied: when duplicating or adding roles (e.g., Job Title, Level).

    • Be excluded: during duplication (e.g., Employee Name, Performance).
