Visualize your org like a pro

Main Org Chart Features

The left toolbar in Agentnoon provides powerful tools for searching, filtering, customizing, exporting, and collaborating within the org chart. This guide walks through each feature.

  • Find employees by name or job title.

  • Click on a result to navigate directly to their position in the org chart.

2. Filtering

  • Filter the org chart by any attribute (e.g., department, location, level).

  • Manager Filtering is recommended to preserve hierarchy, ensuring teams remain visible.

3. Tree View Navigation

  • Displays the org structure as an indented list, similar to a folder view.

  • Clicking on a name navigates to that employee in the org chart.

4. Highlighting

  • Color-codes the org chart based on an attribute (e.g., department, job level).

  • Color coding can be done by filling the card or by using outlines (or both!)

  • Legends toggle allows you to view what each colour represents

  • Admins can customize colors via the settings page.

5. Display Settings

  • Toggle on/off various attributes (e.g., Job Title, Department, Manager Cost).

  • Includes calculated values like spans of control and reporting layers.

6. Spotlighting

  • Highlights specific data points in blue, graying out the rest of the chart.

  • Works like highlighting, but focuses attention on a particular subset of positions.

  • Enterprise customers may have access to custom spotlight rules.

7. Presets (Saved Views)

  • Save filter, display, and highlighting settings as a preset for quick access.

  • Create multiple views and switch between them without resetting filters manually.

8. Exporting

  • Org Chart Exports:

    • JPEG: Screenshot of the org chart.

    • PowerPoint: Exports a slide per manager

  • Data Exports:

    • CSV: Exports raw org data.

    • Template Builder: Admins can customize and reorder columns for structured exports.

9. Layout Options

  • Switch between horizontal, vertical, or compact org chart layouts:

    • Vertical Mode: Up to 3 levels, ideal for management presentations.

    • Compact Mode: Displays two columns instead of one, useful for wide teams (6–10+ direct reports).

  • Expand/Collapse Levels: Show or hide certain parts of the org chart.

  • Fit to Screen & Zoom: Adjust size via trackpad/mouse pinch gestures.

Scenario-Specific Org Chart Features

Available only when working inside scenarios.

10. Activity Log

  • Tracks all recent changes within the scenario.

  • Undo specific actions directly from the log.

11. Comments & Collaboration

  • Leave comments on positions for discussions.

  • Tag users and collaborate in real time.
